    Bottom Line

1800Warranty.com offers four levels of vehicle coverage, with optional tire and wheel protection. Coverage is month-to-month, so there’s no long-term commitment. You can get coverage immediately with a vehicle inspection.

    What is 1800Warranty.com?

1800Warranty.com is a provider of vehicle service contracts. The company offers customers month-to-month, no-commitment options for vehicle protection. It has four plans that can be “easily modified,” according to the company. There is also optional tire and wheel coverage.

1800Warranty.com offers several benefits with its plans, including the Stacks Reward Plan. This reward plan reimburses your monthly premiums — minus some fees — if you don’t make any claims. 1800Warranty.com also includes roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement and complimentary ID theft protection for you and your family.

    How does 1800Warranty.com work?

1800Warranty.com’s process starts with customers getting a free, no-obligation quote. You provide your vehicle’s make, model, year and mileage and the state where you live. You eventually will need the vehicle identification number, information about your car’s features and a photo of the odometer.

You then choose your coverage level and deductible amount. Coverage is based on a monthly subscription, with no long-term contract or other commitments. When you’re ready to buy coverage, you pay for the first month. You're then billed monthly and can cancel whenever.

Coverage starts after a 30-day waiting period; however, you can get coverage right away if you agree to a vehicle inspection.

If your vehicle breaks down and you need to make a claim with 1800Warranty.com, you can take your car to any licensed repair facility and have the mechanic call the number on the contract. You pay the deductible, and 1800Warranty.com pays the rest directly to the repair shop.

Kendra was very professional, courteous and patient, with assisting me in the process! She didn't try and sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need and she listens.. Great energy as well. I've dealt with this company in the past and my experiences were a lot different.

So I have 2017 Dodge Durango. Got multiple parts failure including condenser, some radiator leaks, cargo door struts leaking. So the dodge service estimated cost around 6-7k. To avoid such a huge bills I had these warranty company to save me. But I was wrong guys. It is trap. Rememebr they have a limit of liability on the basis of how long you have been with them 6 months, 12 months and like that. So in my case they approved only 1500 out of the above estimated amount. Such a scam these guys. Please dont buy it guys. And if you buy ask for limit of liability the very first thing.

The signup was really easy and the price is better than any other warranty I have looked at before. There are three tiers of coverage and I got the advanced protection tier. They gave me a discount for being a student, which was all good and dandy. I'm really hoping that they're not like the company I was with when something inevitably goes wrong.

1800Warranty has a smooth process. The application is quick and easy. Everything was okay. Customer service was good. I'm pretty pleased with the coverage. The cost is reasonable for what you're getting as far as deductible-wise and how many parts the warranty covers.

I called 1800Warranty.com and told them what kind of car I had and what I would like to look for. They gave me the Platinum plan and agreement on whatever the monthly payment will be. I said okay and told them to put it on my credit card every month so I don’t keep on mailing out a check. They said there was no problem. It was that easy.

I liked that 1800Warranty.com had a monthly payment. I couldn't come up with a big chunk of money on it. The representative was very nice. The signup was fine but I asked them over 10 times to mail me a hard copy of the warranty but they never did. They kept saying they sent it. I should have gotten it. The lady I talked to said that they sent it, but they never got the green slip back from the post office that they received it. I got tired of fighting with them and I think I'm gonna switch. When I had a claim, they gave me so much crap about filling it. First, they had this excuse about the mileage and it hasn't kicked in yet. I paid extra to get that done so it would be active immediately. They kept coming up with these bogus reasons why they weren't gonna pay. Finally, they did but it took a lot of arguing with them.

I was speaking with one of 1800Warranty's representatives in sales who was relatively new and he was very friendly. He was great at getting the information that he needed. I could tell that he was new because he was asking his supervisor, "Hey, what about this? What about that?" He didn't know the answers to it. So, I applaud him for finding out and not just assuming or giving me an answer that I think I want to hear. So, it was a good overall experience there. We negotiated back and forth on what I was looking for. Everything's great. I asked the guy, "What's your waiting period? Okay, I'm driving the car today. What if I go outside, something happens, and I need to have a repair? How long do I have to wait?" He said it's 30 days. I was like, "Okay, 30 days. That's all right. That's not too bad. But do you offer the ability to waive that 30 days?" He was like, "Yeah, but you have to pay extra for that."

We worked that all out, I paid the waiver, and they sent me the contract showing everything that I had. That was on August 6th. I gave them the mileage of the vehicle. I went through the weekend. Everything was fine with the car. My son had been working through school this whole time. So, I had to take him to work. As I was driving down the road to the school, the air just petered out. It just stopped halfway down the road to the school. It started blowing really hot. So, I called up my mechanic because I'm only 20 minutes from there from where my kid's school location. I said, "Can I bring this to you so you can take a look at it and tell me what the heck is going on? I'll get someone to pick me up, and then you can just let me know what's going on. If I have to come back and get it tomorrow, whatever. It doesn't matter." He said, "Okay. Give me a little bit of time."

He called the next day. From everything that was going on and all the tests they did, he said the evaporator coil was bad. I immediately told him, "Well, let me go ahead and file the claim." He was like, "No, we file the claim." I waited a few days because I didn't hear back right away. Nobody from 1800Warranty had called and told me anything that was going on. When my phone rang, it was the mechanic who told me, "Hey, they denied the claim. They didn't even give me a reason. They just denied the claim." I was like, "That's ridiculous. How can you just sit there and deny something and not give a reason?"

So, I called 1800Warranty and talk to a manager because I was talking to the guy in the claims department and he was like, "Oh, well, I can't do anything for you." I said, "I need to know why this was denied." They told me that it was denied because from the day that I purchased the warranty from 1800 warranty to the day I made the claim, I had only put 66 miles on the car. I was like, "Yes, because I don't drive my car 24/7. I work from home, so I don't have to drive to and from my job until it's time for me to go show property or whatever I'm doing." They will not do anything.

I told the guy, "So why aren't you covering it? You still haven't given me the answer." He said, "It's a pre-existing condition." I just busted out laughing. I said, "Are you seriously gonna hit me with that, that it's a pre-existing condition? How is it a pre-existing condition? I bought a vehicle that is used. So doesn't that mean that anything that happens to it could potentially be a pre-existing condition?" It's not a brand-new car. So, whatever's going on with it is something that has gone on with it prior to me owning it.

They proceeded to go deeper into this whole pre-existing condition and he was arguing back and forth with me about it. I said, "You know what? I'm done with this crap. Just give me my money back. You know what? Matter of fact, I think that you duped me. I feel like I was lied to and I also feel like you people are basically calling me a liar because you're saying that I only drove 66 miles, this, that, and the other. I'm calling the state attorney's office." The guy got off the phone with me. I was calling over to the state attorney's office. I was on the other line communicating there and getting the appropriate chain of command of what I needed to do and who I needed to talk to. In the meantime, they were calling me but I didn't know it was 1800Warranty because I was on the phone.

When I got off the phone, I saw my voicemail message, and it was some general manager, and he proceeded to tell me in this voicemail, "Call me back." I called the number and I was not even in the right number area. I was like, "Okay, well, this is the number that he left me. So, I didn't miraculously dial this number. Can somebody tell me where he's located?" So somehow, they tracked him down, he got on the phone, and we had our whole back and forth. I finally just told him, "You know where we fall with this?" He was like, "Well, I'm just calling to tell you that I canceled your policy and refunded the money. But I need to ask you about what happened. I explained things and I repeated everything. I said, "Here's what I feel. You people may not be flat out coming out and saying it, but you're making me feel like I'm a liar. Like I knew that the problem existed, I waited, get the warranty, and now, bam, let's hit them up with this."

I looked in my account and I didn't see anything that's come back yet. They have not refunded me. It's still showing the $75 that went out. My overall initial experience with them with their sales was wonderful. They were very responsive. They were workable and they were knowledgeable. But then, when it came down to having a claim, there was definitely room for improvement there because of the fact that there was no communication when something appeared to be out of the scope of the norm. They did step up to the plate. They fixed my car. I'm very satisfied with how quick everything happened. I wouldn't deter someone, but I would say, "Just be aware that this could happen." When they're on point, it was excellent and it was super fast.
