My husband and myself spoke to salesman Frank on several occasions. We had a big move and he promised us two trucks, two crews and the move would be completed in a day and a half and free storage for the 10 days we needed until our new home would be ready. I asked specifically if they outsourced trucks or employees and he said absolutely not. We told him our move out and move in days and he said no problem they would schedule it. What we got was an enterprise truck with a piece of paper taped to it that said Alliance Movers, only 3/4 was empty, 1/4 was filled with another move from Kentucky, which arrived a full day after I was promised.

When I called the company to see what was going on because I had a deadline and my closing on my home was the next day, Nancy acted like there was nothing she could do. I said, "2 men will never get this move completed on time. I need to speak with a supervisor." After being hung up on and sent to voicemails I used another phone and got “supervisor“ Lily. She was very rude and flat out lied to me. She told me Frank would never guarantee 2 trucks and 2 teams. Then told me that the moving supervisor at my house told her he didn’t need another truck or more guys because that would slow him down to go rent one. Well I had her on speakerphone and he heard her and said “no I never said that”. They lie and say whatever will stick to shut the customer up.

When I was stressing the time frame and that I needed to be out of the house that night she told me that they don’t guarantee the dates. They have a “DELIVERY WINDOW”. I said, "No. Frank assured me you guys could do it," and she said no. Dispatch wouldn’t get another truck. That was the first I ever heard the term “delivery window” during any calls or in the electronic contract I signed. Then 2 men started arriving to help. Soon after they were coming up to me saying they were hired from Craigslist and if I paid them extra and rented a truck they would work through the night. I said “I’m already paying thousands of dollars to this company for that exact same thing!!"

So I called Lily and asked why were outsourced workers in my home. She said “oh no we don’t outsource.” I said, "Yes you do. They just told me they are from Craigslist and asked me for more money!" Then she blamed the moving supervisor who was busy moving everything saying it was him who hired them, while he told me they place the ad and use his name and number to get him help. The next day the same 3/4 empty truck and two guys. The same two Craigslist guys showed up the next morning before the truck. They said they weren’t paid well. Basically trying to get me to compensate which I told them I’m not paying anything. They agreed to the amount so it’s on them not me. So they walked off the job 20 minutes later.

Then when the 2 actual Alliance workers went to take a load to the storage a “helper” showed up, introduced himself, gave the right names so I knew he had been talking to the move supervisor. He started getting things from the basement for when they returned. 30 minutes later we notice he pulled into our driveway then left. Well he stole some very valuable and sentimental stuff and we had to call the police and file a report. I called Lily distraught asking what her company was going to do about it all this. They wouldn’t return my multiple messages all day. Then at the end of the day she calls and says they were giving me a discount which didn’t even equal the amount of my stolen property let alone the extra $1000 I had to pay to rent the house back!

I had to reschedule our settlement twice and almost lost our buyer. We had to close as they were going to lose their rate lock and we had to pay $1000 to rent our home back for 2 days for these 2 guys to get this move done. The move took FOUR days! Then when they had ALL of our things I get the paperwork to sign that says because of the size of the move our estimate was almost DOUBLED!! I said no way. I can’t pay that, that’s not my fault Frank gave such an incompetent estimate. We were completely honest at the amount of things we had and my husband walked the property and house telling Frank everything. Then I was told, "Well you have to take it up with the office. If you don’t pay they will move your stuff to a storage unit and you will have to pay for that unit for 40 days and pay us or your things will be auctioned." I was stunned. They were literally holding our possessions hostage.

This was the biggest scam I’ve ever fell victim to. IT WAS EXTORTION! I partially paid and told them I would pay in full when All my things were delivered. Well they refused to schedule a delivery until I paid. So then I began to worry if they were going to deliver in time. I called Nancy, I called Lily begging to have it set up for the correct day because I have two adult disabled children and a disabled mother in law who need their durable medical equipment so they can maneuver through the house and bathe. I was told they would do their best no guarantees.

We move in, no truck. I call, heard Frank in the background say “I'm not talking to her“ then hung up. I left messages. It was a Monday, Lily called and said Wednesday. We had to go buy air mattresses that no one could sleep well on or get up from due to disabilities. My mother in law rolled off and smashed her nose on the floor and hurt her arm. They didn’t show on Wednesday. I called multiple times, got Lily, told her about my mom’s injuries and that we need our things. Told Thursday or Friday. Friday night told Saturday or Sunday. Monday morning I had to hire a lawyer to send a letter.

Finally got our things Wednesday. One guy, one truck. Took him 4 days! One helper showed up. I questioned him extensively about how he was hired. He was not through Craigslist and at this point I had no option but to let him help the driver. Multiple pieces of solid wood furniture were very damaged. FYI Alliance only pays $.60 cents a pound unless you pay them an exorbitant amount for insurance at the beginning. My family and myself are so traumatized by this whole experience. Do not buy into their sales pitch. They are liars and scammers. My lawyer said everything in their contract is written to protect them and not the consumer or their possessions. If you have to hire a company like I had to my lawyer informed me to use local smaller companies that built themselves from a family business and have a good reputation to protect.

Spoke with Darien about moving my household good to South Carolina. I was assured it was taken care of. When the two men arrived they didn’t have proper package items. Also, wasn’t aware of a FULL pack of my house. Spoke to Darien. Extremely rude.

Moved a 2 bedroom household from Thunder Bay to Vancouver. In summary, my experience with Alliance was harrowing and they lacked accountability. They are a third-party mover that contracts with different companies which adds many layers, and total disarray. Check the contract carefully since what you are told on the phone is likely not in the contract The contract is very brief and totally one-sided.

Get everything in writing. Near the day of the move I was told that packers would arrive between 8 AM AND 4 PM and movers would arrive after it was all packed. After paying $1500 for professional packing I expected thorough packing. No packers arrived and at 330 PM I phoned and was told a 53 foot truck was on its way and the movers were the packers. They finally arrived at 9 PM looked at the job and decided they would come back the next day. The movers did a good job and worked hard and at 5 Pm the next day they were finished and said they were off to Toronto, not to Vancouver, where the goods would be put in a warehouse, later the furniture would be loaded on a train and sent to a warehouse in Vancouver where it was unloaded again. This was news to us and now our possessions would be loaded and unloaded seven times.

We were fully paid by credit card and e-transfer then 2 weeks later some local movers arrived who said they need the credit card and cardholder present or they cannot unload. The card holder was not here so I had to e-transfer $1750 or they would not unload. I would not recommend Alliance Movers to anyone since a move is stressful enough and Alliance will tell you one thing and do another adding more anxiety. I didn’t feel they were helping with the move and seemed to have their own agenda and were dismissive regarding any of my concerns.

This is the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. The customer service has been absolutely awful. They scam people, lie, do not give updates, hang up, I could go on and on. I have worked in customer service before and I am mindblown these people have a job. I normally do not leave reviews but this has been a complete nightmare dealing with them. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. Do not use this company. We have tried to reason with them and they continuously were rude, had an attitude, and it's just unbelievable. I have never ever dealt with a company this unprofessional. If I could give zero stars I would.

I spoke with Larry Alliance Movers and told him that I needed my stuff moved from Virginia to Miami and I also wanted that my TV’s removed from the wall and that they would be remounted back at my new residence and said no problem. Today, I spoke with Nancy customer service and she said they don’t do that and with terrible customer service, extremely unprofessionally bad attitude. They just scam me just to get the job.

This company uses a salesman- Frank - to make the deal and promised that my elderly mom's stuff would be moved from PA to CA in 7-10 days. He promised that even though there were some poor reviews on company, to not worry he would “take care of us”. Justin came and packed her small household into the moving van and said the same promises7-10 days. Little did we know that mom's stuff would now go from PA to NJ to NC to a warehouse in FL where it now sits!! In the meantime my elderly mom is in an empty apt., sleeping on an air mattress without her items.

Numerous calls to company and texts. Nancy keeps telling us they are trying to arrange with dispatch to hook our load up with one coming this way. She also insists that the very long contract has a line item that states they have 21 business days to deliver goods!!! This was never told to us. Numerous calls provide no answers. They have 2/3 of the money and no delivery in sight. They misrepresented themselves and we should have checked all these reviews and stayed away! I hope we will receive moms stuff and it will not be all broken as many other complained. As of writing this we are already into day 18.

Alliance contracted with a 3rd party mover. The pickup was performed by a different smaller truck than what arrived at the destination. When the van arrived, there was a hole in the roof of the van and rain/snow had gotten onto our mattress and "soaked" it. There were 8 boxes missing. There were also 3 boxes/items that didn't belong to us, that were on the van. When contacting Alliance Movers, they fell back on the excuse that I had not purchased insurance. They took no responsibility for the van condition, lost items or numerous scratches/dent in furniture. The 3rd party mover went out of business within 1 month of our move.

This is the worst moving company. Whatever you do, do not use this company. Please read their contract and read it again. If you are quoted a price you can bet it will cost you a lot more money. If they break something, they refund the cost by weight not value that's if you can get the refund. I received two checks that bounced and took 3 months to finally get compensation that didn't come close to the value of the furniture they broke. I could go on and on about my experience but then again it's my time I am wasting. Please think long and hard before you hire these people.

As many have said, if I could give negative stars I would. They breached the contract on 5 terms, over $9000.00 in damaged goods and costs we paid to have our furniture moved into the house from the driveway or the garage. They held goods for ransom, threatened to drop the stuff in driveway, Scammed us on the price but then failed to even give us an inventory of the goods listed as being delivered. The second truck they sent (Due to them failing to send a truck that could handle the items on the original inventory) which cost us well over $8000.00 above the original estimate amounted to hostage taking of our goods.

They put a bed frame through my 27" Imac computer as they had put it in the truck unwrapped. The driver of the second truck showed up with no crew to unload on a Sunday. As a disabled Veteran I had to help unload the damaged goods from the rental truck the driver showed up in. Do not under any circumstances trust Benjamin ** (The Alliance Rep) or Ann **, the so called Customer Rep at Alliance, Whatever you do, do not believe or trust Conor, the sales rep.

These two companies are a nightmare. They hired a fly by night company out of St. Louis, MO that went by the name of Secure and Protected Moving LLC, The Contract company berated us, threatened to hold our goods hostage, threatened to dump our belongings in the driveway, The damage to our furniture was extensive, the customer service from both Alliance and Secure and Protected was a joke. They have countless BBB complaints and would not even answer the BBB in both Florida and St. Louis. I cannot stress this enough, Ann ** the so called customer service rep will do nothing to help resolve your issues if you are unlucky enough to hire these people, she has no intention of representing the customer, she is there to defend the fly by night people at companies they hire as contractors, Steer clear unless you want to see you wallet empty and your belongings destroyed!!!!

So my mom and I we were moving from Florida to Georgia and the quote we got was $2500. They asked for a $250 deposit which was fine. When the driver got there he uploaded my items and the next thing I knew is that I was owing them $6000!!!! When I called them, they said that the inventory list they had looks nothing like what I had and that they had to charge me extra, so I refused to pay because if only they had let me know before loading my items that there was gonna be changes I will had NEVER agree to the price because it was something I could not afford.

So they had my items hold for weeks and on top of that they told me I had to pay for the storage where my items were being held which is ridiculous because I had never agree to any of this. They refused to gave back my items saying I had to pay another percentage of the amount since they had already loaded everything (without my concern) and when I finally got my items back I had a lot of broken stuff but they didn’t care at all. Oh almost forgot about their extra fees, they full of hidden fees even when you are about to pay!!!!
