Michael spent a good couple of hours with us answering questions and demonstrating. We scheduled the appointment on a Saturday and overall, it was a really, really good experience. The installation was done by Lance. We had to reschedule the installation a couple of times because of my availability. But when Lance and his team came, they did an excellent job. They were very professional, thorough, complete, and respectful of the house. The feature that we like best about the tub is the way that you can use each of the jets individually. You can use the microbubbles or the hydrojets or the air jets by themselves. You don't have to do all of them at once. The hydrojets are my favorite feature because they hit the right spot. The tub is a big investment. It's expensive.

The sales representative was very cordial and for the installation, the reps were there for three days. They worked long hours and sometimes they didn't even take a lunch break. But I'm not very happy with the caulking. It's messy. Also, the quality is there but there's been a lot of things going wrong with the tub. The faucet is always leaking and it's making funny noises. Then, a bunch of things that were in the motor came out and the heated seat has never worked from day one. I've called and called American Tubs, and no one has ever gotten back with me.

After American Tubs completed the tub installation, there were big punched holes in the facing of the door. They had to come back and do those. It took them seven to eight days to come back and do those. Plus, the tub was installed an inch to the right more than what it should have. If I put curtains up to the window, they would come down and fall directly on the tub. That's not how it was before I had the tub put in. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t even put the tub in.

American Tubs gave me a price that was manageable. But as far as the installation was concerned, it was a little lacking on their cleanup. They had to disassemble my entryway into the bathroom. When they put it back together, it was shoddy. I tore it apart and redid it properly. I had called the owner of the company and talked to him about it. They were willing to come out and take care of it.

We wanted to make sure that we had a fairly deep tub because I have RA and my shoulders are usually the ones that have the most problems, and the salesperson from American Tubs was more understanding than any of the other salespeople that I've spoken to. The work done for the installation of the tub is very good quality. They took out the old tub, which was one of those basic oval tubs with the marble around it, and we asked them specifically not to break all the marble to remove it because we wanted to save it just in case for something else. And so they were nice enough to keep large pieces intact for us, which was great. Then, they removed the tub in one piece and I use that in my garden. The install itself was good, except that instead of two days, it took three.

The guy that came and gave me the quote seemed to know what he was talking about and when the tub was installed, the guys were here for three days then they were done. They were okay but they left a hole under my house where the varmints could have gone in. Another guy came to do something else and he was under there. He checked it and covered it up.

Since American Tubs themselves made the product, that seemed like a good idea. And they guaranteed everything. If we had a contractor put in and there's something wrong with the faucet, it wouldn't be covered by their labor. So, we liked that. And we had gotten a bid on something with the bathroom before that and this was a better price and so much faster to get it done. Because with the other people, it would have taken maybe two weeks to get everything finished.

The installers put a large hole around the pipe in the floor, and we're worried about rats getting in. I don't know why they had to make a hole bigger than was necessary for the pipes. But the tub has been fine since then. I love it. My caregiver doesn't like it that much, because she's bigger than me. It's narrow for her. But I'm a lot smaller, so it works well for me.

The two installers were very good. But they didn’t pay attention to the final detail and caulking. I had to have them come back to fix it. I had to wait three days and then they finally came, and it was all taken care of. I like the jacuzzi and the shower. I like everything about the tub.

The crew was excellent. The tub is the best thing I ever bought. I like the whirlpool bathtub. I like everything about it. The only complaint I have is the knobs. They are not what they should be. But besides that, it’s been a great experience.
