Our editor’s take on Alert 360

Alert 360 could be ideal for protecting commercial properties. Unlike a lot of home alarm companies, Alert 360 offers specialized security solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

Business security solutions include 24/7 monitoring, reporting and insights, adaptive learning and smart integrations. Devices like cameras, control panels, thermostats and motion sensors are available. But, it’s worth noting that Alert 360 doesn't provide warranties or money-back guarantees on products.

    Additional services from Alert 360

Alert 360 offers several other options to protect your home and car, such as the Connected Car plan and the Flex 360 remote security sensor.

The Connected Car plan, which costs $8 a month, is an on-board diagnostic GPS tracker that monitors your vehicle’s location, shows diagnostic information and maintenance alerts, and sends alerts for excessive speeding, sudden acceleration, hard braking and other signs of unsafe driving.

Connected Car integrates with your Alert 360 system to help you create automated actions, such as having the lights turn on when your car parks in the driveway.

The Flex 360 remote security is a battery-powered sensor that provides real-time alerts for your property. Alert 360 states the sensor has an expected battery life of more than two years, and it only requires LTE cellular coverage — Wi-Fi is not required. The sensor lets you know instantly if someone is on your property and sends alerts if doors, windows or gates are opened or closed.

    Camera & VideoTech

    Reviewed Aug. 16, 2023

We’ve used Alert 360 for more than 3 years. We’ve had ongoing issues with cameras buffering and glitching. We’ve made multiple complaints and they’ve sent a tech to our home on multiple occasions and the issue is still not resolved. We pay well over $100 per month and the cameras are basically useless. The cameras they use are provided by Alarm Co and the the Alert 360 tech spent 2 days on the phone with Alarm Co trying to resolve the issue and they are still not working properly. Both Alarm Co and Alert 360 have blamed our issues on our ISP and have stated the distance between our ISP router and our cameras are the issue, which makes absolute ZERO sense because our doorbell and front camera also glitch and they are literally 10 feet from the router. Would not recommend!!

Give me a break. Every time I deal with services for this house, I get people on the phone that are apathetic. This is Georgia, the back of my house faces the woods, and they drilled a hole for the back camera where the bugs find it all day every day. I don't have a ladder this high and wouldn't know what to fill the wall with anyway. This is a new house, I closed in October 2022, and I consider this damage installing the wire to the camera. They won't do anything about it which means I have to pay someone to do what they won't do. I'm so irritated by customer service reps who don't give a crap anymore. Post-pandemic has businesses lazier and more uncooperative than ever.

I called this company and asked them could they come and adjust the camera in the back of the house because I had installed a jacuzzi with a canopy and the canopy was blocking the view of the camera. So they told me they would charge me for adjusting the camera. That was last year so I had made up my mind then that when my contract was up I would not renew with them. So when I told them that I was cancelling when my contract was up all of a sudden they could move the camera but I would have to renew for three more years. I said no. Now my camera in front of the house is not working and they want to charge me to come out and see why. Do you think I want to be affiliated with a company like this. My contract ends next month.

We contacted Alert 360 to restart security monitoring services and repair the system in place. The agent never told us that as part of the signed service request we were signing a non-terminable 3 year agreement. Alert 360 is now trying to bill us for 3 years of service despite the system still not being fully operational. Beware of this company.

I had service for 7 years at my office building. No real issues with service during that time. I sold the building and went about cancelling all services at it (utilities, internet, security, etc...). I was not under any contract with this company, but their "policy" is they charge for the month of cancellation (get it, it's prepaid and they will not refund) and then an additional month (no monitoring during this additional month). What company with good business ethics charges when they are not going to provide service.

With every other service cancelled, charges ended at that point with the exception of this one. Ethical companies don't charge for services they are not providing. Unethical business practices cost companies far more than the extra month of charges they get for doing nothing. I made sure to tell the purchaser of the building to use any company but this one as well as I will go out of my way to share this experience with others. They got 1 extra month from me, but I will do everything I can to make sure that cost them more than the extra month

I gave them ample notice about termination. I had it on my calendar and called and informed with 30 days before the end of my contract. Somehow, how "their records" indicated that I did not do so, and so they hit me with a $24.95 "buyout fee". If you do not pay this fee, then supposedly they reactivate your account and start billing you again. An honest company does not need this sort of income or tactics to trap / nickel & dime customers. Furthermore, they kept jacking my rates annually. If you like fine print, price increases and hidden fees, they may be a good fit. Otherwise, Stay away from Alert360/AMSA.

Do not use this company! I lived in one state, got news my dad had terminal cancer in another state. Had to sell my house, move in with my mom and take care of dad. They were not very empathetic when I told them the situation and that I had to move out of state. They hounded me to keep paying. When I would not pay for services I was not using. They sent a collection agency after me. No one at Alert 360 was empathetic at all. I cannot reach the collection agency. All I get is voice-mail. THINK TWICE before using this company. Not to mention the amount of false alarms and times my window break alarm would go off for no reason. I would love to work out an arrangement but every time I call they say there is nothing they can do, I signed a contract and they have no termination clause. So DO NOT USE this company. All they care about is money.

So, after 3 properties broken into a whopping total of 6 times, I moved my family out of Lawton, Oklahoma and got rid of any association to this town. The sheriff did catch some involved, but LPD has even gone far enough to tell my alarm service they would not dispatch. No previous alarms at that location. The Last time I was there someone had broke into the house and went through mom's stuff and opened all the blinds, and the alarm system failed to operate again, (I believe Alert 360 is compromised more to that in a minute), as it was supposed to. I figured out how they got in and blocked the entry. They had joggled the garage door open.. and nobody saw nothing apparently. I barred it, and did not see anything missing. Went there today, and I guess I pissed them off by blocking their access. They apparently put their butt against the garage door and literally took a dump on it and let it fall to the floor.

Literal human crap. They crapped on the garage door!!! And no one saw anything again?!? The literal insanity that has to be present in a person that could do such a thing is mind-numbing, but the garage door faces the street!!!! Seriously, and pardon my french, but wtf!!! LPD has been completely inept and outright useless in all of these. It is to the point why even call them. You have to do the paperwork yourself and there is never any follow though or as in the case of the most recent and one time in 2 to 3 years alarm system alert at this location, they just refuse to dispatch. The last two property break-ins have had functioning and one had top on the line upgrade within the last year.

At one location caught on hidden camera the perps entered and exited for 3 hours a total of 6 people and alarm system with motion detectors did not go off until they were through, some 3 hrs after the initial break in. The latest is the same thing, a fully functional high end alarm system through the same company Alert360 with motion detectors fails to detect movement right in front of the detector where boxes were opened, rifled through, and blinds opened through the house.

      Several things going on here.

I think the alarm systems are compromised and that means yours too if you are with Alert 360. 2. the police in Lawton have no serious interest in assisting homeowners in protecting their property. 3. when offenses do occur it is to bothersome for them to do the reports or even make a slight attempt at any follow-through. My best advice is to get out of Lawton as fast as you can because there is some serious funny business going on there. I also warn all Alert 360 customers, based on my experience through all of this I believe that company has been compromised.

The Sheriff there did arrest some based on my own camera footage captured. I did get follow-through from them. Thank you. I have lost 10's of thousands at this point. Get out and avoid Alert 360. The only time their system worked is when police refuse to dispatch. I have went round and round with this company and all I get is cognitive dissonance. Either inept, or aware and not protecting their customers for whatever reason you can guess at.

Alert 360 prides itself on industry-leading customer service and state-of-the-art equipment, and we never want a customer to have a negative experience. We have researched this claim based on the limited information received and have requested evidence of a loss such as an inventory list of items stolen, a police report, an insurance claim or any other form of documentation substantiating a loss. To date this information has been provided. We look forward to resolving this once we receive this.

After years with this company and being elderly senior. They tried to push and force me to sign their 36 month long term contract! Tried to call and cancel but agents did nothing to help me with this, only to keep pushing the 36 month contract! Agent keep putting me on hold 10 minutes, then 15 minute, and another 5 minutes. After all that finally I said, "We just want to cancel service!" Then agent said we have to can't write them a cancellation letter? Plus allow them 24 to 48 hours for whatever reason? If you're with them now good luck trying to cancel with them! Very bad customer service and pushy agents! Going to report to BBB.
