What is Chaiz?

Chaiz is an independent marketplace that helps you find the right aftermarket warranty coverage for your vehicle. These protection plans provide coverage ranging from powertrain-only to comprehensive.

The process is 100% online, so you don’t have to deal with any phone calls or other stressful situations. Instead, you can compare multiple quotes online and go through them at your convenience. Once you’ve made your decision, you can purchase your coverage online through Chaiz.

Once you buy a protection plan, you have 30 days to change your mind. During this time, there’s a 100% money-back guarantee. In addition, there are no long-term contracts or commitments. You can cancel your service contract whenever you want to.

If something happens to your car and you need to file a claim, Chaiz makes it simple. Log in at any time to access your contract details, or contact your claims administrator for help with the claims process.

How does Chaiz work?

You’ll need to enter basic details into the company’s online form to see what coverage options are available. During this process, you’ll want to have your vehicle’s vehicle identification number and your current mileage. You’ll also be asked about your vehicle’s details, including the year, make and model.

Once you enter this information on the search tool, available plans pop up. For each quote, you can see the details at a glance. Then you can click on another tab to see the entire list of items covered under that company’s protection plan. This makes it simple to compare quotes. Once you know which works best and you’re ready to purchase coverage, you’re able to complete the process online.

Chaiz plans and coverage

The third-party providers Chaiz partners with offer three different tiers of protection plans:

  • Powertrain Protection: The powertrain is the most important part of the car. It includes the motor, transmission and drive axle. This plan only covers these parts. This protection plan is the most budget-friendly.
  • Powertrain Plus: This covers everything the basic Powertrain Protection plan covers, plus a bit extra. Often, this includes adjacent systems, such as steering, electrical and cooling. However, you’ll want to read the terms carefully — these contracts vary greatly from provider to provider.
  • Bumper-to-Bumper: This is the most comprehensive type of aftermarket warranty you can purchase. It typically covers all parts of the car, except for a list of exclusions. The exclusions are usually a car’s more consumable parts, such as tires, wiper blades and brake pads. Regular maintenance items, paint and lights also aren’t covered. Because this protection covers nearly everything, it's the most expensive.

Most protection plans also have benefits or perks. These may include:

  • Towing service
  • Flat tire repair
  • Lockout service
  • Jump-start service

How much does Chaiz cost?

As a marketplace, Chaiz offers third-party aftermarket warranties at various price points. The type of vehicle you drive, the number of miles on your car and the length of coverage affect the price, along with the type of plan you choose. You can expect to pay at least $40 monthly for a plan for a smaller car. Luxury vehicles, trucks and SUVs cost more to protect, with prices around $150 a month.

Chaiz FAQ

How do I file a claim with Chaiz?

Chaiz lets you view multiple coverage options available from different providers. From these options, you can pick the one that best fits your needs. However, you can’t customize the plans.

Is Chaiz legit?

Chaiz is a legitimate company that connects you with multiple service contract providers so you can find an aftermarket warranty within your budget. You can complete the entire process online, and you won’t experience high-pressure sales calls or annoying robocalls. If you’re in the market for extended coverage, Chaiz is worth considering. Keep in mind that Chaiz won’t be the direct administrator for your plan; read reviews of the plan provider and get multiple quotes before making a decision.

Our Ford F150 is 10 years old with 103k miles. It is still in very good condition. We purchased the Extended Car Warranty from Chaiz for several reasons, most importantly price and level of coverage. Compared to the extended warranty plan our dealership offered, the Chaiz plan is a much better deal. The initial waiting period, deductible, coverage inclusions and exclusions, and service locations were all factored into the comparison. The enrollment process was quick and easy! We are very satisfied with our purchase.

I found Chaiz through ConsumerAffairs. Hadn't heard of them, but they had good reviews elsewhere. Got quotes online and pricing was a lot cheaper than the big brands on tv. I purchased one and they sent me the warranty and ID cards immediately from a legit company they partner with (NAAC). Am getting another one through them for my wife's Suburban.
