    What is Diamond Warranty?

Diamond Warranty is a vehicle warranty provider that works with dealerships nationwide to offer various warranty options. It partners with several big-name companies, including Pep Boys, AutoZone, AAMCO and C&K Auto Parts, and it's backed by Wesco Insurance, a subsidiary of AmTrust North America.

While coverage is outlined in your vehicle service contract, it's essential to read the document yourself to see what's covered. Some disreputable dealerships may misrepresent these products to make drivers believe the coverage is more thorough than it really is.

    How does Diamond Warranty work?

Diamond Warranty has six coverage options to fit nearly all drivers’ needs. These include:

    Powertrain
The Powertrain coverage plan is available in three-, six- or 12-month periods with unlimited miles. This coverage includes:
    • Engine (gas)
    • Automatic transmission
    • Manual transmission
    • Front-wheel drive axles
    • Rear differential
    • Four-wheel/all-wheel drive

You can also get 24/7 roadside assistance and a single turbocharger or supercharger (OEM) for a surcharge. All fluids, filters, seals and gaskets are covered in the event of failure.

    Plus
The Plus coverage plan ranges from three months/5,000 miles to 48 months/50,000 miles. This warranty includes everything from the Powertrain package, plus:
    • Plus sensor package
    • Engine
    • Seals and gaskets
    • Fuel system
    • Air conditioning (OEM)
    • Cooling system
    • High-tech electrical
    • Steering and suspension
    • Rental car reimbursement
    • Diagnostics (maximum of one hour)
    • 24/7 roadside assistance and towing
    • A/C fluids and freon, in conjunction with the replacement or repair of a covered A/C component
    • ABS and brakes system, excluding rotors, drums, pads and linings
    Enhanced
The Enhanced plan ranges from 12 months/18,000 miles to 48 months/50,000 miles. Coverage includes everything in the Powertrain and Plus packages as well as:
    • Enhanced fuel delivery system
    • Enhanced engine
    • Enhanced electrical (PCM)
    • Enhanced air conditioning
    • Heating and enhanced cooling
    • Enhanced automatic transition
    • Enhanced ABS and brakes system
    • Enhanced suspension
    • Exterior
    • Enhanced sensor package
    • Trip interruption up to $200
    Exclusionary
The Exclusionary plan from Diamond Warranty begins when the original manufacturer’s warranty expires. It's available for one to six years and up to 100,000 miles. This plan covers all factory-installed components, with some exceptions. It also includes rental reimbursement, trip interruption insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance.

The OEM optimal technology package requires a surcharge to cover GPS navigation systems. Some components, such as antennae, cables and phone systems, aren’t covered.

    Powertrain Plus
The Powertrain Plus plan is available with a five-year/100,000-mile term. Coverage includes:
    • Powertrain plus engine
    • Fluids and filters, covered in conjunction with a covered component
    • Automatic transmission
    • Manual transmission
    • Rear-axle assembly
    • Four-wheel/all-wheel drive
    • 24/7 roadside assistance
    • OEM single or twin turbo/supercharger (with surcharge)
    Certified Pre-Owned
The Certified Pre-Owned, or CPO, plan ranges from three months/3,000 miles to six months/6,000 miles and provides the same coverage as the Powertrain Plus plan, but it's only for certified pre-owned vehicles.

    Diamond Warranty prices

The price of Diamond Warranty’s coverage depends on several factors: your vehicle's make, age and mileage, the coverage amount and your deductible option. It’s also typical for a dealership to mark up Diamond Warranty’s base prices. For the most accurate pricing info, it’s best to speak directly with your car dealer.

    Diamond Warranty FAQ

    Where is Diamond Warranty located?

Diamond Warranty is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

    Where is Diamond Warranty available?

Diamond Warranty’s products are available at dealerships in over 30 states. Check with your local dealer to see if it offers Diamond Warranty plans. You can also check with the map on the company’s website to see if plans are available in your state.

Can you file claims online with Diamond Warranty?

No, you cannot file claims online. Diamond Warranty recommends that the repair shop call it directly to open up a claim. It then works with the repair shop to resolve the claim. The claims process timeline depends on the size of the repair, the availability of parts and the speed of the repair shop.

Does Diamond Warranty cover used vehicles?

Yes, Diamond Warranty does cover used vehicles. Some coverage options require that your vehicle be under the manufacturer’s warranty for at least 30 days. The company also has a product for certified pre-owned vehicles.

    Do we recommend Diamond Warranty?

Diamond Warranty Corp. offers a variety of coverage options to suit nearly every vehicle. While Diamond Warranty doesn’t cover all auto needs, it can still help protect your vehicle’s most important components once the manufacturer’s warranty expires — and the 24/7 roadside assistance is a plus.

I had a pipe crack in my engine. They would not clever it because they said it was made of plastic which is not quite true. It is made of composite. The line that say plastic was referencing wiper blade etc but this is their loophole. I spent 4500 for nothing.. I advise everyone not to bother they take your money and you just lose it.

I wish the dealer who sold me my warranty went over everything.. It's my fault I signed it without reading it. I called a rep at the warranty company. She took the time out to tell me what is and what is not covered also how the whole procedure works. I am happy with the car I purchased and the warranty they sold me.

Took my car to shop for the water pump. Diamond approved my pump and fluids and labor. The only thing is they will not approve it from BMW if it's available at Napa or those places, but all these parts are the same anymore. Thank you for the positive experience. I will be renewing this coverage.

Truly a great experience. Nothing bad to say. Loving every bit of it. I recently wrecked my vehicle and it was totaled. Since I only had liability there was nothing my insurance could do for me. After a long excruciating stint in the pen I got out and went to the library trying to find someone to help me out. That day, my life changed forever. I knew I would never be the same. I found this website and it was love at first sight. I look at life with a whole new perspective and do my best keeping one foot in front of the other.

I paid $3,000 for this warranty and have learned that it does not cover Ignition coils, that were deemed to have an issue in a Bulletin put out by BMW, which showed they knew there was a problem and should have been covered by BMW but at the very least, by the extended warranty. This warranty also doesn't cover a glove box mechanical problem because it's considered "trim work". I have learned my lesson and will not purchase an extended warranty in the future without doing my homework.

I purchased this warranty through the car dealer for $1400. My transmission went bad. Like everyone else on here, it was a long drawn out process. It took a week for adjuster to come out and look to see if tranny was bad. After finally agreeing it was bad, the certified mechanic and myself argued to let them rebuild it so we knew it would be solid. Diamond refused this and said they have their own warehouse of 'certified used' parts. You mean 'certified used JUNK'! Now my vehicle is broke down again and they will not help at all!!! BEWARE! There are other warranty companies that let you have the choice to have a part rebuilt or another used one installed. Namely CarShield is one I called and they confirmed it with my recording that WE have that option! DO NOT DEAL WITH DIAMOND WARRANTY!

The warranty on my car expired, and I should've seen it as a warning sign that they came calling. I'm thankful for sites such as this to provide true insight, and shed some light on my first encounter with Diamond Warranty via the phone. The lady that had spoken me was adamant with signing me up for their 'peace of mind' coverage, which initially sounded amazing. But when I told her I was going to have to respectfully decline to pursue other options, she became aggressive and insisted that this was my only chance and that I was missing out on their once in a lifetime opportunity. She was insistent that they would not reach out to me again.

Well, after reading some of these true accounts and filtering through the praises, I'm glad I appeared to have squandered my gift. I was able to call back two days later and have my initial sign up fee waived, and opted for my USAA additional vehicle protection which in the long term, is much cheaper and considerably more advantageous. Even if you're not a member of the armed services, you owe it to yourself to do your own research and seek out better options. Don't fall victim to this business.

I had purchased Diamond through the Carlot I bought my car. I've had my car 6 months and O2 sensors caused check engine light. I called Diamond and was told to take to any certified repair shop. I was given names and extensions of how to reach Diamond for any issue I may have. My representative, Brie is how I know her, was fantastic and quick to handle everything! I truly couldnt be happier with my experience with her representing Diamond. It was great to feel taken care of, without having to run guilt on anyone or pulling any teeth. It was so easy and amazing! Thank you so much Diamond for making what could have been an even bigger mess so much easier!
