Ella's Bubbles walk-in tubs

About Ella's Bubbles walk-in tubs

Ella’s Bubbles offers customizable walk-in tubs designed for couples, seniors and people with disabilities or limited mobility. Its acrylic-shelled tubs come with a variety of options, including removable inward-swing doors, 360-degree swivel trays and temperature control valves. Customers receive a walk-in tub quickly with the company’s 48-hour shipping, and Ella's Bubbles assembles all its walk-in tubs in Chicago with certified NuWhirl parts.

Ella's walk-in tub models

All Ella's walk-in tub models come with exclusive features. These include Ella’s patented dual drain technology that allows water to drain in as few as 80 seconds, push controls, leakproof doors and slip-resistant floors.

You can customize your tub with a soaking option, hydrotherapy, air massage, Infusion Microbubble therapy or dual and triple massage systems. All models include removable access panels for easy maintenance and repair. The company also offers optional features, including heated seats, heated backrests and aromatherapy.

Higher-end models, like the fully loaded Ultimate walk-in tub, include an independent foot massage and luxury features such as a patented 360-degree swivel tray, chromotherapy and a triple combination of hydro, air and foot/calf jets.

Ella’s Bubbles sells many types of walk-in tubs, including:

Inward-swinging door walk-in tubs
Ella’s inward-swinging door walk-in tubs include five models: the Petite, Elite, Royal, Ultimate and Deluxe. All come with stainless steel doors that include a frosted, tempered glass door for a more modern look. The Elite model is the most popular choice among customers and features a removable 360-degree swivel tray and add-ons like LED chromotherapy. For smaller spaces, Ella created the Petite model, which includes the same 20-inch seat as the longer Deluxe model but is designed for average or petite body types. The inward-swinging line also has roomier models, such as the Royal (which is designed for larger individuals) and the Deluxe and Ultimate (which are designed for taller and/or larger individuals). Ella’s Companion tub is a two-seater ideal for couples.
Outward-swinging door walk-in tubs
The Monaco, Capri, Lounger, Mobile and Front Entry outward-swinging models come with plastic composite doors but have a tempered glass window in the door, giving them the same sleek look of Ella’s Inward Swing tubs.

The most popular, Capri, is designed for average-size bathrooms and spaces. Those with smaller bathing areas should look at the space-saving Mobile, Front Entry or Lounger models, while bathers who prefer a roomier experience may prefer the Monaco. Select models, like the narrower Lounger, can be built with an anti-scald thermostatic control valve.

Wheelchair-accessible walk-in tubs
Ella's Bubbles designed this line of walk-in tubs with accessibility in mind. The TransferXXXL, Transfer60, Transfer32, Transfer30 and Transfer 26 all come with aluminum L-shaped doors, foot and shin massage hydro jets and two grab bars to provide bathers with safe and easy entry.

The Transfer30, the company's most popular standard-size model, has air and hydro jets for those interested in dual massage, while the Transfer26 is great for smaller bathrooms. For those shopping for wider models, Ella’s Bubbles suggests the Transfer32, Transfer60 or TransferXXXL, which include wider seats and/or longer frames.

Lay-down acrylic walk-in tubs
Ella’s Bubbles’ lay-down acrylic walk-in tubs are ideal for anyone whose disability or mobility challenges keep them off their feet. These walk-in tubs come with many options, including soaking features, Ella’s Infusion Microbubble therapy system and optional glass shower screens.
Two-seat walk-in tubs
Two-seat walk-in tubs are made for couples. This line includes three main models: the Big4Two (a roomy tub that comes with 21-inch and 26-inch molded seats), the Tub4Two (a two-seater with extra space) and the Companion, which offers the option of a dual massage tub or a simple soaking tub. All two-seat walk-in tubs include a center door and drain as well as Ella’s standard adjustable leveling legs.

Ella's walk-in tub accessories and other products

In addition to its walk-in tubs, Ella’s Bubbles offers accessories and products for your bathroom and home, including cultured marble shower bases and seats, free-standing tubs, alcove bathtubs, vanities and accessories.

The company's accessories include a four-fold glass shower screen that can be opened and closed during bathing and an adjustable shower column kit that adds an oversized rain showerhead that eliminates the need for a wall-mounted showerhead.

Anyone looking to upgrade their bath to a spa-like experience can find an installation kit for the Ella Infusion Microbubble therapy system, which is a process of infusing pressurized water with billions of micro-sized, oxygen-rich bubbles. These bubbles can help exfoliate, detoxify, moisturize and relieve skin-related issues.

In addition, you can choose to include a two- or five-piece fast-fill faucet on all tubs. The faucet comes with a hand shower that is available with five different water pressures.

How much do Ella's walk-in bathtubs cost?

Ella's walk-in tubs typically range from $3,000 to $8,000. High-end tubs, such as the two-seat Big4Two for couples, begin at $8,000 because of the numerous luxury features, such as triple-massage with microbubble therapy, heated seats and two fast-fill faucets.

Ella’s Bubbles walk-in tubs can be purchased with or without installation. Local technicians tend to install the tub for $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the walk-in tub's model and size, the bathroom layout and the amount of work that needs to be done.

Ella’s Bubbles FAQ

Do Ella’s Bubbles walk-in tubs come with a warranty?

Yes, Ella’s Bubbles walk-in tubs come with a warranty. The bathtub shell, frame, door, door seal and finish are covered by a limited lifetime warranty under normal use and conditions. All supporting equipment, motors, pumps, fixtures, electronic controls, faucet, waste, overflow and plated finishes are covered by a limited lifetime warranty. The thermostatic control valve comes with a one-year limited warranty.

Who installs my Ella’s Bubbles walk-in tub?

Ella’s Bubbles has a network of dealers and contractors. Customers can find a local dealer to install and service a walk-in tub through the company's website.

What’s the difference between a gel coat or acrylic Ella's walk-in tub?

Both gel coat and acrylic walk-in tubs are made with fiberglass reinforcements. The main difference is the material used for the surface. Gel coat walk-in tubs are made from fiberglass with plywood backing and are just as durable and long-lasting as acrylic tubs. Acrylic tubs, on the other hand, are made from one material that allows for surface resistance to mold and mildew, which makes them easier to maintain.

Is financing available with Ella’s Bubbles?

Yes. Ella's Bubbles offers financing through Klarna or PayPal.

Are Ella’s Bubbles walk-in tubs worth it?

Ella's Bubbles' customer and installation network make purchasing a walk-in tub simple, and the company's wide variety of tubs helps ensure you can find one that fits your needs. Ella's Bubbles also provides accessories and products for a safer and more enjoyable bathing experience. If you need a walk-in tub for safety or convenience, a walk-in tub from Ella's Bubbles is worth the investment.

I was able to get a hold of support this morning and it was great. I am not sure why nobody was able to contact me from the left messages or online form. But I have communication now and it was very helpful. Since this particular issue is resolved I will update the review pending installation.

Original Review: March 13, 2023

Delivery of the tub was great, but the first step in the instructions tells you to level and fill the tub and wait 30 minutes to check for a leak. We did this and there was a leak on the back connection of one of the hydro jets placed where your back is. Unfortunately, none of the documents or videos Ella has explains what to do when this particular jet has an issue. Looking up the part online only results from Ella on the part and a phone number they do not answer. I left multiple messages both at the phone numbers they supplied as well as the online form. No response from anyone. It has now been 3 days. We have a leaking tub we can't do anything with and no way to get any information about the part. Been many years since I have had this bad of an experience with a seller. Maybe if you bought it from Amazon or another reseller you might be able to get support but buying directly from Ella seems to be a dead end, we have no idea what to do.

    Installation & Setup

    Reviewed Aug. 25, 2022

We bought a Big4Two tub from a local distributor. It took us a while (over a year!) to assemble it because we were having the bathroom remodeled and had delays. When we put it together we realized the bolt to attach the door handle was missing. We called the company we bought the tub from and they were out of business. So I called Ella's Tubs and they figured out what part we needed, sent it to us for free and video chatted with us to show us how to install the handle. Thank you thank you!

We ordered an Ella wheelchair accessible bathtub from Ella Bubbles. It came with all the bells and whistles. It’s like having a home spa at your house. The bathtub was delivered on time and the contractors were great. We needed it lowered into the floor by 2”. Everything turned out great and we love our new bathtub. The contractors were very professional and the installation went without any issues. We would definitely recommend this company and product to anyone who is thinking about buying a new walk-in bathtub.

Daphne was very patient and knowledgeable with all our questions and requirements. As a DIYer the tub was easy to install. Our tub has heated seat and back which makes waiting for the fill up easy. Our knees and backs want to thank Ella's Bubbles for all their help and recommendations.

I bought my Ella's Bubbles XXL Transfer walk-in tub through Wayfair. My son-in-law who is a Journeyman plumber installed it. We had an awful experience with it. We tested it outside and it worked fine, but it leaked like crazy. It had three leaks in the piping underneath. We called Wayfair and they rebated me 50% of the price of the tub. My son-in-law re-siliconed the joints and told me that two of the three that he re-siliconed worked fine and one didn't. He has to scrape the silicon off and try again. Plus, he found another leak. We put in a tray underneath the tub that will pick up any leaks and take them to the sump pit. I don't know what Ella's is doing. All the reviews I've seen on Ella's were very positive, but obviously, something went wrong somewhere.

From all the comments, they talk about testing the tub and making sure that it's not leaking when it leaves the warehouse or factory. Either someone didn't test my tub or they tested it, found the leaks and thought they fixed it. I was very disappointed to have set this all up and tested it and to find even one leak, let alone three, and now a fourth one. It's a nice tub, but it certainly doesn't seem to have been put together well.

I was doing searches on two-person tubs, and then got the idea of searching for a two-person walk-in tub that would fit the space that we had. I found it on Ella's website but what also came up was who else sold them and Home Depot did. The Home Depot site didn't seem to be a good place to try to figure out certain things and ask questions. There was a spot on Ella's site where you could email to ask questions and they called me back. They gave me a very good price, essentially equal to what they referred to as the best internet price and they shipped it direct for free. I purchased the Tub4Two five weeks ago. It’s a soaking tub and it’s just a simple one but they have a door. Generally, it’s probably considered to be for senior citizens who want a deep tub where it's too high to step over to get into because it's deep, and you can really fill up the tub and soak.

The rep, Steve, was a very good guy. So, because of the price, we bought it in advance of having our remodeler scheduled to go. There was another lady that we talked to who took care of the accounting and invoicing, and she was good. Then, I ended up talking with a fellow in their warehouse because I wanted to know if they could tell me what day it would be delivered, and they were able to do that. So, it was a good experience.

My brother-in-law brought up Ella’s Bubbles and I said that I would see what they got and what was different. Pretty much everybody was close with the product and very similar but I’ve had no complaints. I made my purchase in January and it wasn’t that it took until March to get it in, but I wasn’t satisfied with the installer that Ella recommended at the time in the Chicago area. They came and put the tub in, and I loved it and it looked great. However, it wouldn't keep the water warmed up so, they changed something out. That didn’t do it. They ended up putting in dual tanks and it cost me another $1,500 on top of the tub, which I was not happy with.

At the beginning, Ella’s Bubbles’ installation team was very responsive. It was around Christmas when it happened and they got out after New Year’s. It might have been a 10-day delay only because it was the holidays which I totally understood. When they came out, they looked at my water heater and my electric panel, and then they set a date. It was two weeks out. Ella’s Bubbles’ product seems great but the installer was the issue I had.

I was researching walk-in tubs online and I ran across Ella’s Bubbles. I also spoke to my daughter’s DME place and they recommended a tub from Ella’s Bubbles. My interactions with the sales rep were great. I went to the warehouse and he helped me find exactly what I needed for my daughter who has special health care issues. Everybody seems to enjoy the tub.

We found Ella's Bubbles on the internet and nobody else made the particular tub we were looking at, which was the tub for two. For us, it was like a mini hot tub and we don't have to go outside. Although our interactions with their sale reps were fine, their technical people weren't very good at answering the questions that my husband had. Moreover, their manual was too generic. It said the tub needed a 20-amp circuit breaker, which was a little awkward to deal with. But when he looked at the tub, it only needed a 15-amp breaker. The plumber that installed it cursed it a few times. They were good to bring it up upstairs though and had four guys to do it. Plus, they cleaned everything up.

We had a little bit of trouble with random leakage and found water underneath the tub a few times. One time, it appeared to come from the seal. Then, it drained down through the door latch hole. We found that when using the jets, the water bubbles rather vigorously and gets out but it's not constant. It has a bit of a learning curve. For example, we can fill it and use the jets but if we wanna use the other one, we better not fill it up all the way. We talked to Ella's Bubbles one time, but we figured it out ourselves. We found the door latch very hard to operate to get the door pulled closed and sealed. I've mentioned our Ella's Bubbles tub to other people.

I wanted a micro bubble tub and I did my own research. I had a couple of the TV ones come to the house and bid but I threw them both out. I bought it on Amazon and it was the best price. A plumber friend and I did the installation. The tub didn’t seal well on the door and it was my fault because the frame bent a little bit. I didn’t jack it up in the center enough, so the door was binding, closing, and then pinching the gasket. Once I talked to the service tech in Chicago, he straightened it all up for me. One adjustment and it was fine ever since. As far as functions go and everything else, everything in the tub looks great. It has for a year now.
