All policies start 30 days from the day of purchase. You can purchase any one of these plans regardless of the age of your systems and appliances, and Priority Home Shield does not require a home inspection. The company also lets you choose your own contractor, though you must give prior notice so it can verify the contractor is licensed, bonded and insured.

    Priority Home Shield cost

Priority Home Shield allows you to purchase monthly, annual or multiyear plans — multiyear plans provide the best value. You must request a free, personalized quote for pricing because rates vary depending on home size and location, but Priority Home Shield does say pricing starts at $1 per day. You can receive a quote online or by calling the company's toll-free number.

For reference, home warranty plans tend to cost $25 per month to $50 per month, with a discount if you pay upfront for a full year of coverage. As of publishing, Priority Home Shield states on its website that those who call in can receive 10% off any plan and three months free.

    Priority Home Shield exclusions

Priority Home Shield covers certain items when they break because of normal wear and tear. If covered items break because of human misuse or a natural event, Priority Home Shield does not cover the repair or replacement.

Like most home warranty companies, Priority Home Shield has coverage exclusions, such as:

    • Samsung appliances
    • Thermostats and thermometers
    • Routine maintenance
    • Improper installation
    • Failure due to insufficient maintenance
    • Professional-series, professional-grade, luxury, high-end, or premium appliances like KitchenAid and Miele
    • Electronic, computerized, smart, or internet-enabled components and parts

It’s important to carefully read your agreement to ensure you have the coverage you think you do for the items you’re concerned about.

I was looking for a Good Home Warranty, I saw Priority Home Warranty was rated high. I contacted and received a warranty from them. I don't remember getting a book from them with my information so I tried to call with the numbers I found all disconnected, finally found a working number, called and I asked to have a book sent to me or an email with my information 4 times and got nothing. So now I need a claim for my swimming pool and have been calling for the past 4 days and all I get is I will put your claim through right away and I just called today Wednesday 5/24/23 and got the same answer I have been getting, "I will put your claim through and have claims contact you," and Still nothing. Not Happy

I have bought two contracts with PRIORITY HOME WARRANTY (PHW) on March 10, 2022. You cannot reach them through phone, e-mail or through their website. Every time you call the claims department all they tell you is that they will have someone call you back. Weeks go by and nothing. Worst scam ever. I do not recommend this to nobody. Only time will tell. I pray for you all. Keep the money. God will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well.

Being that I haven't received compensation for the remainder time that I was there. (This is the result of that) I worked at priority home warranty for about 6 months. This job took me way out of my comfort zone. Never in my life have I experienced such lack of professionalism & poor management. From having us to lie to customers about checks being sent out while the owner was thousands of miles away on vacation.

To them literally skimping and fucking customers over with their claim outcome. I worked for other home warranties in the past.... this one in particular has 0-none common courtesy for human beings & their money. These are group of selfish individuals who are only money hungry. If you spoke with "Lexi" (which wasn't my real name. Sean Azafrani, the owner. Had us all use aliases).

Working behind the scene I was able to see firsthand how they found any way to deny every claim. The outcome of the claims was never in the best interest of the customer. If anyone needs my participation in any lawsuit I'm willing to fully cooperate. Email me: ** If you're scared of this company being a scam it is & stay clear of them. I watched these people scrambling for scraps and started charging people's bank account for "renewal" without notifying them. I will be on social media bringing awareness to this company. Call you bank get your refund and run to Choice Home Warranty.

I have bought two contracts with PRIORITY HOME WARRANTY (PHW) on Jun 10, 2022. As of 11/17/2022 the company is AWOL - you cannot reach them through phone, e-mail or through their website.

Do not use this company for anything - they will not provide any service to you besides taking your money. While I was still able to reach them and file claims before 11/17/2022, I experienced the following:
      • Website does not work - once you start a claim, nothing really happens besides you being charged a service call fee ($70.00 in my case)
      • After you file a claim through the website and you wait until you realize nothing is happening, you have to call them (that does not work anymore since their phones seem to be disconnected) to actually process your claim.
      • They have no technicians in my area for plumbing, electric or appliance maintenance. I had to find my own technicians every time I had a claim filed with them.
      • If you manage to find your own technicians for any of the claims, you have to pay the technicians out of your pocket despite the fact that you have already been charged a service call fee by PHW. Then PHW is supposed to reimburse you for the technician’s assessment.
      • They will find numerous ways deny your claims, including (but I am sure not limited to):
      o Your appliance is too old;

o Your appliance is a luxury item and therefore not covered by their policy.

Until their phone number listed on the website got disconnected (that’s my assumption) I had to call upwards of 10 times regarding every single claim. In conclusion, I have no idea how this company is in business, if they still are.

Been waiting 6 days for a technician to call me about a leaking kitchen faucet. Called back for 3 days in a row after giving them a few days to get to my ticket. The "24/7" customer service is being staffed by the billing department for some reason during the day, there is no one answering the phones later at night, as far as I can tell. They insisted on me paying the service fee when I filed the claim, which no other company has asked me to do in my experience with two other HW companies. So, they have my money and I'm just in limbo. Lot's of excuses on the other end of the phone that, it's "not my department", and other such buck-passing. Very very very sorry that I made the switch to this company. Asked to speak to the supervisor and he "isn't available" because he leaves at 4 pm. (Good gig!) Very disappointing and frustrating. Avoid them at all cost! I will be cancelling once I get my sink fixed, since they already have my money!

They send a sub contractor from American Home Shield, who demanded payment before repairs. I called Priority and explained this. Someone was supposed to get back to me. No one did. I had to pay for repairs $490. It’s been a month and I never got my money refunded. They told me they will only pay me $231 because the repairman did not get approval from them to do the repairs. I decided to cancel my policy with them because of their shaded practices. They told me if I cancel I won’t get the $231 payment or if I get it and cancel, I will have to pay it back. I lost either way. So I cancel because I had been calling them for a month to get reimbursed. I never got my money back. I will never recommend Priority Warranty. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

Home warranty warning! Priority Home Warranty seems like a good company, but their business model is very deceptive. They tell you everything is covert with no problem, but that’s not totally true for older equipment or parts of equipment that has been repaired after a home inspection. If a part of a unit is faulty it all becomes faulty, and they will not cover the repair but give you money towards the repair. My repairs was $1,700.00 and they would give me $150.00 for the repair, this is not why I got insurance.

Another problem is the fee. My policy started on 01/03/22 and I call for service on 01/04/22 on 01/05/22 they ask for my home inspection, on 01/08/22 they tell me I am not covered. On 01/11/22 I find a company that will cover my older equipment and cancel the policy, the charges from this nonservice were as follows: $50.00 cancelation fee, $60.00 serviceman fee even though no serviceman came out, and a $53.00 pro rate (which is a month and not 10 Days that I use the service). In short you can buy this policy $640.00 and use it for 10 day then ask for service and they can tell you go go suck an egg and you will owe them $163.00. But if you have utilities that have a two or more-year warranty, they would love to have you. For these reasons I will tell everyone “DO NOT TO USE (Priority Home Warranty). It is not worth the money.”
