Before the driver left, he told me he expected to be in Dallas in two days, I was assuming 3 to 4 days, and I told him, "How is that possible?" He said everything that was on the truck was going to Dallas, so there was no extra stop. He said that he was going straight on through and the only times he was stopping were for the times that the state says he has to stop, restroom and food breaks. I gave him the keys so he can get the car back off, and I told him it was going to a residential area. The car got to Dallas, Texas in the morning of the second day, which was really quick, and the driver delivered it to my sister. They couldn't get it on the street she was, so they had to park over at the park and unload it.

I really liked the service. I was able to pay up front and that's what I wanted, because I didn't want my sister to have to pay for it. When the car got to my sister, all she had to do was wait till the guy unloaded it off his ramp, take it and go and start getting it tagged. It was an excellent experience. SGT Auto knew exactly what they were doing, and I'll definitely use them again.

The guy called me beforehand and said exactly the time he would be there, and he showed up. I parked the transport in the driveway of my townhouse and gave him all the documentation, registration and insurance. He loaded it himself and was gone within 20 minutes. My uncle was there on the other end, waiting for him, and he called him from the road and said what time he would be there. And he was there at that time. He picked up the vehicle at two o'clock, and got to my uncle by six that same day. There were two other vehicles on the transport, and it was easy for him to be able to get to my uncle. My son did a transport before when he moved his car from Chicago to Miami, and he was the one who told me about SGT, which was why I looked it up. It made it easier than me trying to drive the car there then trying to figure out how I was gonna get back home.

The communication went very well. The pick-up and delivery was great. And I feel that my car was secured and taken care of all the way here. The only thing that SGT dropped the ball was once I said okay, I didn't hear past the weekend as to when they would pick the car up. We were afraid, because my husband who's in Maryland had a medical procedure, and we were, “We really need to know. You don't need to come on that day.” We didn't know who to reach out to, because we didn't know where the ticket was in the process. But it all worked out, so it was wonderful.

The quote wasn't the cheapest but I wasn't looking for the cheapest, but for what seemed like the best overall. I would like to have not spent as much as I did but I also have driven from Kansas to California myself. So, the cost was worth it, which was why we did that. It was reasonable. We've shipped cars a couple of times but this time, we were told six to eight days for a transport. And after my daughter got the car picked up in Kansas, she called and said the car was on its way. This was on a Saturday. And then, she said the car would be here Monday. I thought she meant a week from Monday because that sounded like what was happening. But the two young guys who drove this truck transported three vehicles. They had a big truck of their own with a long bed hauler and they had two Mercedes vans, and then our car. And these guys got the car here in two days. So, that was another exceptional thing. I was absolutely happy.

I was very shocked at some of the other establishments in their responses. SGT had some current good reviews too. I dealt with Simon and he was really good. My experience was unique. We had three different carriers that we had that they had actually contracted through. I would get an email from Simon, saying, “We've got a guy. He’s set to pick it up on this date. We're going to deliver it on this date.” The very first time later that afternoon, I got an email saying, “That was cancelled. We're gonna try again.” The next day, I got another email. “We've got this company. Here's their information.” I got a phone call from Simon that said the guys weren't working out. He kept me informed along the way. I realized that they get a carrier that says yes but when they get a better deal, they say they're no longer gonna do the transport for you. SGT was good all the way around on what they had control over.

The car was picked up at an auto dealership in Pennsylvania. The driver contacted the dealership and the dealership told me that the driver had my vehicle. Simon sent me an email the next day telling me what date the driver was in. The driver then contacted me as he got down here. I was told that my car would be delivered on a Saturday but they actually got into town on a Friday. That was somewhat of a surprise.

I was also a little disappointed in the driver. My father-in-law hauled cars for a living so I understand those trucks sit low. You got logistics on how you can maneuver and where you can get into. I suggested that the driver meet me at a Walmart right up the street and it's a mile from my house. But we ended up going six miles down the road to an industrial part. It was a little disappointing at that point because then I had to get somebody to take me back the other way. I was just initially going to walk from my house. I was just gonna walk up there. I could have been a jerk and said, “No. You get closer to my house.”.

My car is a 1962 Ford Falcon. It was just dirty from being on the road. Everything else was good. We ended up having to jump it but the driver’s jumper was only 50% charged. It needed to be 100% charged. I actually had to go in to the house and get my jumper cables and come back and jump it off so I could then drive it home. That aside, it was a was very pleasant.
