Please do not take this as any kind of advice or recommendation, but on different occasions, I was told or read to invest in precious metals. I started to think more seriously about having precious metals being part of my portfolio. It started after watching several news commentators namely, Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly, both had recommended purchasing gold and silver and American Hartford Gold would be an excellent company to make this happen.

I placed a call and Jon ** returned the call and sent a text message with different ways to get in touch with himself or AHG. I will tell you without going in a lot of details, Jon spent time, a good bit of time in explaining the purchasing details of adding precious metals to my portfolio. I will tell you that we had several bouts with what would be right for my investment. What impressed me the most was that Jon was more concerned about my comfort zone than getting the purchase completed.

One more thing I would like to mention was that after the purchasing portfolio was being put together and I had a few questions, and I was not able to reach Jon because of his other commitments, he always responded by texting me letting me know that he got the message and would get back as soon as possible. Daniel ** and others from the AHG teams made efforts to help me with questions I had. Finally, I want to say this if you are looking to purchase silver and gold or not even sure. Give AHG a call, I was very impressed with American Hartford Gold’s customer services. Normally when people go to get stocks, most of the people that they talk to about an IRA or any other means wanna tell them what's on the paperwork that they read from. But after that, they wouldn't have any answers. But this was knowledge and it felt like it came from experience from them. American Hartfold Gold just asked me what would be something I'm thinking about. I would tell them. And they'd say, "That's a great idea." By doing that, they would take my thoughts and break it down for me.

Instead of going to a 50/50 deal, gold and silver, I said, "What about a 70/30?" The rep said, "Actually, that's phenomenal." And he started breaking it down to, if the prices do this with this one, you have this one over here. It was amazing. I thought when that part was done with them, that was it. I've gone through my salesperson. I got my items. So, bye. But he said, "This isn't the end. We're always here throughout any time you need us, any time you have questions. We are a team throughout." Wow. You don't hear that today. If I texted or called, it was immediate. "I can't answer your question. But the one that can is gonna call you back in five minutes." It wouldn't even be five minutes and it was a phone call right back. I talked to two men and a lady. And there was a bit of difficulty for me trying to go through my past employer to get the funds released. They told me I couldn't do it.

But the rep never showed anything but the same calmness. He said, "That's not a problem. We're gonna help you and we're gonna have somebody that's gonna call you back. And they're gonna make a three-way call. You'll be able to hear everything that is said and you'll be able to ask questions or talk." I thought it wouldn't happen for me, but okay. No, the lady called up and said, "I've got the other party on the line." And she took over. I just sat there and listened. That lady said, "I'm representing Mrs. ** and she wants to pull out her funds and have it sent here." And they were, "Oh, okay." That quick, that easy. I've been fighting them for months. And everybody I spoke to made me feel it wasn't about my money and interest.

I looked at their website quite a bit and they don't have the prices on there. You have to call in, which is kind of a good thing because that way, they get to talk to the person and walk them through the whole process and make sure that the customer understands what they're getting. But other than that, the website is pretty easy to go through there and look at the different options and types of coins that they offer. I also like the little ticker at the top where it gives you what the cost of gold is like as of today. That's kind of a nice and quick glance to know what the market has gold at and also the different metals.

When I was finally ready to move forward with my purchase and I did the wire transfer, they gave me a call back and said, “Okay. Now we're gonna go over every piece of gold and silver you're gonna receive and which ones.” They reviewed each one of those and then the value of it, and what I was gonna pay for. When I had $250 left over, they gave me the options that I could purchase silver with and then the different amounts. I got a little bit more diversified in that regard. So if I ever did need to sell it, I don't have to sell the whole one ounce coin of gold. I have smaller pieces that I could sell if I had to. Also, they covered the cost of my wire transfer, so that was a nice thing. Then they sold me some pieces of silver that were at a lower price to equal up my total investment. I had $18 left over and they said, “Okay. This coin normally sells for $31, but to complete your total, we're gonna sell it to you at $18.” So that was a really nice thing.

American Hartford told me that the wait time to receive the package was 4 to 12 weeks. But I have not yet received my package and that made me a little bit nervous if it was a scam. They reassured me that it was not. I called back a week after I did the purchase and they explained to me their process and why it does take a little bit longer, and that they ensure that everything is correct. The amount of customers that are calling to purchase gold is also part of the wait time.

We had another phone call with our IRA rollover representative with American Hartford and my Empower representative. It was a lead-pipe cinch. They took $40 out of the account to pay for the express shipping, to and fro, of all the paper that need to be filled out, and American Hartford Gold said, “Hey, we will honor what we told you. For every $50,000 you invest with us, we'll send you $500 in silver.” They did that, then they kicked in an extra year of paying for storage for the gold at the Las Vegas vault. I figured I'd have it in Las Vegas so I can go see my Raiders disappoint me, make me cry, and go then pet the gold.

I'm really satisfied with what I'm getting and what I know that I'll be paying after the four years' free vault storages. With American Hartford Gold, I was never left with any reservation if this was a scam. They were there every time I needed them, and even when I wasn't thinking about them, they gave me a call or sent me an email. It was an amazing experience and well worth the investment. I've been telling everybody I know that's interested in gold or has some money in their retirement, “Hey, you have to check these guys out.”

My confusion was with purchasing 1.25 oz St. Helena coins which I had never heard of and I had a hard time finding them on the web. I was unsure if they were a currency coin or not. I had originally given AHG a 4 star rating because of my confusion.

It seemed I was a little bit pressured. But at the same time, I wanted to buy some precious metal. The one I wanted was the Silver Maple. Then I bought another one that's a numismatic investment, which is 1.25. I don't see too much information on them though. I had a hard time finding it online.
